About us

Hi, I’m Nick Scanlan. I started Paradise Marine Services after working in the industry for over 10 years. Boating has been a passion of mine (or some call it an obsession) for a long time, so I take pride in my jobs and being able to call it an occupation.

I’ve worked in multiple marinas and workshops across Pittwater, gaining dealer experience and knowledge in servicing and repairing Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu, Mercury, Mercruisers plus all other makes and models from portable outboard motors to trailer boats right up to large cruisers. I’ve provided services to the local Surf Life Saving branches and other commercial operators.

Training/Qualifications:

• Cert. III in Marine Mechanics

• Cert. III in Maritime Operations (Master up to 24 meters)

• Yamaha Technical Academy trained

• Marine Engine Driver Grade 3/MED 3

On the weekends, you’ll most likely see me out on the water, working as a skipper, fixing my own boat or attempting to put the tools down and enjoy life on the water.
